My Story
My name is Mat Morkin, and I, along with my wife Desiree, are the creators of Snake Crusher Craft Products. Our story begins with a number: 440. At one time I weighed 440lbs. I had hypertension, diabetes, and chronic gout. I believe that a man takes care of his family, and I could not take care of my family being that big and that unhealthy. Over the course of two years I lost 200 lbs. Together, with the support of my wife and our children, we bettered our lives in other areas as well. This is where Snake Crusher was born.
What does pomade, beard oil, and tattoo balm have to do with weight loss? After I lost weight, I noticed that I had thinning hair. I had always used different pomades in my hair, but was never satisfied with the results, so my search began to find natural products that would condition my hair, and make it look healthy without damaging it. I started to make pomade with shea butter, vitamin e, and beeswax, and people started noticing how good I looked. My wife started using the pomade on the ends of her hair to help with split ends, and her friends noticed how great her hair looked too. People started asking me what I used, and to their disbelief, I made my own pomade. Snake Crusher was born.
